The First Grade had fun learning all about our Solar System. They were very busy decorating the halls, and our classroom. All and all January was a very busy but fun filled month, now it’s on to February.
February has the First Grade celebrating Valentine’s Day, and learning about our past presidents, Abe Lincoln and George Washington. The students will continue working on their Reading comprehension skills, Math computation, time, rapping up with place value. They will continue working on correct letter formation, and spacing in Handwriting, along with sentence structure in English. Spelling has them working on mastering their weekly list words, while recognizing the spelling patterns. The Social Studies books and activities are all packed away to make room for Science books. The students will begin learning about the weather, while in Religion they will be learning about Celebrating the Eucharist, and how Jesus teaches us about forgiveness.
