February Highlights

In Social Studies, Grade 7 students will begin to analyze the growth of trade in America and the growth of the Middle, Southern, and New England colonies.
 
In Reading, the students will analyze Haikus, short poems and write a series of stories based on these concepts. 

In Religion, the seventh graders will continue studying from their Blest Are We textbooks. 
In Art, new classes will begin their studies with Aboriginal Art work then design their own work. 

Science: With yet another wonderfully successful Science exposition behind us for the school year the students will begin to study the theories of motion and force. They will learn Newton’s three laws and put it into practical use.

Language Arts: The students will be working on writing food poetry and will present their poetry dramatically. They will also be working on writing an opinion/persuasive essay/debate about a topic of their choice that they will have to research.

Math: 7th Grade will start working on rates, ratios, proportions, and percents before reviewing for the Terra Nova Tests.
