Science: The students are busy at work learning about the scientific method and its applications in the real world. They will also start to explore their science fair topics.
English: The students will review last year’s work and review for Lyden testing. Also, review for science fair.
Math: The students will be working on integers and algebraic expressions before starting to touch on equations. (Algebra: The students will be working on variables, exponents, the real number system, and graphing on the coordinate plane.)
Religion: The students will be learning about the 4 marks or characteristics of the Church: one, holy, catholic, and apostolic.
Reading: The students will be working on a short stories unit including a Sherlock Holmes mini mystery and a piece by Edgar Allan Poe.
Spanish: This year the students will be working on many topics including greetings, the alphabet, colors, numbers, sports, foods, weather, and school objects/subjects.
In Social Studies, the students will begin with Reconstruction of the South.
