Math: The students will be finishing up working with the real number system before beginning to work on rates, ratios, proportions, and percents. (Algebra: The students will be working with graphs and functions.)
Religion: The students will continue to prepare for Confirmation (Don’t forget the meeting taking place this month and the sponsor paper that is due!! ☺).
Reading: The students will be reading, analyzing, and discussing poetry and also written pieces about or by great African Americans.
Language Arts: The 8th Graders are continuing Romeo and Juliet (Act I) in class by reading parts and reenacting some scenes. They will be quizzed on Act I by the middle of the month and then starting Act II.
Spanish: This year the students will be working on many topics including greetings, the alphabet, colors, numbers, sports, foods, weather, and school objects/subjects.
Science: With yet another wonderfully successful Science exposition behind us for the school year the students will resume their study of the human body. Having finished the digestive system they will now move on to the circulatory system and blood.
Social Studies: The students will begin to analyze the developments of the Great Depression and the rise of Totalitarianism.
