Mariann Franczek is delighted to be teaching 3rd grade at St. Maria Goretti School. This will be her 27th year in Catholic education and her first full year at SMG. She is dually certified as both a regular elementary teacher and Learning Disabilities Specialist.
Mariann believes that every child is capable of learning and that the classroom environment should be structured to meet the individual needs of students. She implements a wide variety of strategies and techniques to help all students reach their full potential. Inspired by her own Catholic education, she seeks to infuse Catholic values and social teachings into every academic subject.
An avid gardener and traveler, Mariann also enjoys attending the theater and other cultural events. She enjoys reading mystery novels especially those by Agatha Christie.
This year, she is planning an exciting thematic unit of study on polar exploration. She feels truly privileged to be working with our parents to educate their children.
