Mrs. Krielaart is the fifth grade homeroom teacher at St. Maria Goretti School. She is also the fifth through eighth grade Science teacher. This is Mrs. Krielaart’s third year at St. Maria Goretti School. She received her undergraduate degree in secondary education from Northeastern Illinois University. Mrs. Krielaart also has a bachelor’s degree in History and endorsements in middle school Science. Mrs. Krielaart is also co-moderator of the St. Maria Goretti Student Council.
Mrs. Krielaart’s educational philosophy includes the belief that it takes a community to teach children and that anyone who has contact with students has an influence on them. She is also a strong believer in project based learning and technology, which allows for creativity and higher level thinking skills.
Mrs. Krielaart enjoys swimming, reading, and spending time with her family. She is inspired by the kindness of others and her students.
She has an exciting year planned with lots of hands on activities, as well as a few great projects and she is looking forward to another great science fair and all the fun activities Student Council will do for the students.
