Miss Genovesi’s January Highlights

8^th Math: We will be working on our Catholic School’s Week Unit where we will be dealing with family based mathematics through the century.   

8^th Religion: We will be starting to prepare for Confirmation. 

8^th Reading: We will be reading, discussing, analyzing, and doing activities based on a dramatic version of The Diary of Anne Frank.

8^th Social Studies:  We will be studying the importance of memorializing the heroes of the 20^th Century.  They will explore different events and people that have been memorialized and then create their own 20^th Century Memorial.   

8^th Science: We are learning about pollution. The students will work in teams to create water filtration systems.  The students are also preparing for science fair.

8^th English: We have completed the Review of Literature and Reference List sections of the Science Fair research book during December and will discover the importance and influence of American History on writing and composition as it encompasses our many acquired skills through hands-on experiences during our January Journey.
