Someone you should know. . .

I am Laura Brewer the First Grade Teacher here at St. Maria  Goretti School.  I’ve been teaching at S.M.G. since 1976.  Before coming here I worked in Elmhurst, and River Grove with the primary grades.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Illinois University.  I hope to instill in my students a love of learning by making our classroom an enjoyable place to discover that life has to offer us.  We will share our talents and feelings, where we try to be the best that we can be.  We will work together and develop our “study skills” to help as we grow and move on.

When I’m not in school I enjoy cheering on the Chicago Bears, reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and scrap booking.  My favorite, is spending time with my family, whether it is our family game night, or sports events, or a family celebration, it is always my favorite past time!
