Someone You Should Know: Ms. Drougas

Hello! This is my first year at SMG, and I can’t wait to help your children learn! This month will be exciting and new. Here are what the sixth graders will be learning this month.

5^th English  —They will be reviewing their grammar and writing about directions. They will need to present about something they know how to do well. 

6^th English —They will be doing a grammar lesson and creating posters in groups about the movie, Hook. Also, they will write about a personal narrative.

7^th English —They will be reviewing grammar and writing a compare/contrast essay.

8^th English--They will be reviewing grammar and writing a persuasive essay.

Reading--They will be reading stories and do a Newberry Book for their book report project.

Religion--They will be studying parts of the Bible and how to look up passages. They will also have a ‘Bible Jeopardy’ at the end of Chapter one.
