Someone you should know . . .

Stacy Hemmer graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a concentration in Psychology.  She is the third grade teacher at St. Maria Goretti School for her fourth year.

Stacy believes in creating a classroom atmosphere that allows each child to reach his or her potential.  She uses a variety of teaching strategies to assist with that.  She truly enjoys hands on activities where the children can work in small groups.  This allows for academic learning to take place, as well as socialization skills to develop.  This year she is looking forward to getting to know her new class.  She is also excited about the all school theme “Oceans.”  She will enjoy teaching her kids all about what lives inside the reef.

When Stacy is not in the classroom, she likes to relax at home with her husband and two cats.  She enjoys going out for a nice dinner, watching movies, or reading a book by one of her favorite authors.
